1987 Yam. 115 2cy.
I'm redoing my boat. Moving the helm forward & to center. This means a top mount control, & dash Ign. switch. + the extra length forward.
I've bought the longer steering & control cables and a sierra Ign. switch with push to choke feature.
What I can't find is a longer wiring harness. Yeah, I know all about butt connectors, but I really would like a no splice 22' long cable.
Any help? Thanks,d:)

look in the outboard rigging guide, they make the 10 pin harness extention as short as about 3 feet.most any yamaha dealer can order it.if you currently have a sidemount you will need the binnicle mount main harness and my opinion of that seirra switch is not worth debating.

:'( I could'nt find anything with push to choke feature. Go ahead, I know nothing about them. Tell me your opinion.
Where is OB rigging guide? This site?
Yes, I'm going from a sidemount. The topmount is a Teleflex with tilt Sw. in hadle.
Is there a Yam wire color code?
Thanks,

yes, the yamaha rigging guide can be found at any yamaha dealer, I replace a lot of the sierra switches.
thats all I will say.
but to go from the side mount to the serirra switch? why not strip the switch and alarm out of the 703 box you have, mount them in the dash and use the 3 ft extenstion at the transom end?
do some searching on this forum. I have posted the color codes a few times.

:^Found one! 26' @ $96.00
By the time I'm done, it will have cost me around $800. to move forward and center. Ah, but it's worth it.
