I recently acquired a boat and have been putting it back together. I'm now to the electrical stage. there are wires everywhere. Most cut. i baught new toggle switches and have began running new wires to the the 3 things i need to work.the bildge pump, the aireator and the lights.i am putting in-line fuses in.with that be ok? the ignition and everything works fine. the problem im haveing is with the lights.i have a 3 way toggle. have found the wire to the stern and the wire to the bow.they both work.i have each one on opposite sides of the toggle. but how would i wire it so when i turn the bow light on the stern comes on also? if i run a jumper wire from the staer to the bow wouldnt that just supply power to bow all the time? if its not to simple i'll just install another toggle for the bow light..thats alot.

In-line fuses are fine. Just be sure to get waterproof fuseholders, maybe something like one of these:

You do want a "jumper" between the bow and stern light poles at the switch, but that jumper wants to be a diode (any 1N-400x diode will do), so that power can go to both anchor and nav when in "nav", but only anchor when in "anchor."
