Boat finish has been restored and engine is exceptional. Console wiring has no integrety and is staring to be a real problem. There is hardly any space to work with and it is a bird's nest of wiring. When I turn my lights on the gas tank indicater goes backwardsand stops at about 6:00. That is not good.
I have no problem tracing out lines but need something to reference. Have called Ranger and they did not retain the wiring records for that year. Here is the set up,
Console has tilt trim, Tach that has never worked, gas gage, speed ometer and light switch.
Volt indicator, belge pump and aireator are disconected / don't work and belge / aireator has been replaced and are wired discretely direct to teh battery.
Don't know where to start but if I could find a color code of Johnson wiring that is specific to console wiring that would probably get me there. Really need some one to pull through as I don't want my boat to burn to the ground from a short to ground. Also Engine and tilt trim wiring in the back are good to go.
Thanks,
Alpinegold
