OK. To make a long story short .....
My boat has a charging system that charges all three batteries (1 cranking & 2 Trolling), but the selector switch at the bow has to be set to 12v to charge.
I bought a 24v trolling motor.
What do I need to do to connect my 24v trolling motor up to the old plug which is a 12/24v - 3 prong circular male adapter from the trolling motor to the female adapter fixed on the panel on the bow? Which side of the male plug will be the 24v side OR is it set by the selector?
I just don't want to have to rewire my whole boat since I'm an amateur at best with electricity. Also, If I rewired it I may mess up my charging system which was installed from the factory. I cannot see it, but I assume it just runs off of an alternator like an automobile engine.
