wiring diagram needed for 87 omc cobra 5.0L

My ballast resistor is diconnected and I can't find wire going to it. One side is connected to + side of coil. can't find other wire anywhere. boat not running right. boat is a 87 celebrity

Wiring diagrams are based on the power package, not the boat. You need a service manual for an '87 OMC Cobra. They cover all motors for that year.

OMC's don't normally have ballast resistors but have a resisitor wire in the main harness. It usually comes from a splice off the alternator to feed the coil. If you didn't have it the boat wouldn't run at all once you let the key go from start to run unless someone has done some creative re-wiring.
