Wiring for OMC depth gauge

Hi Guys<br />Have just bought an old stock OMC digital tracker 100 depth gauge off Epay. Problem is it came with no wiring diag! (Won't make that one again!)<br /><br />Out of the back there are 4 wires <br /><br />Orange<br />Black<br />Blue<br />Purple<br /><br />The purple wire has an in line fuse, so I figure it's +ve feed in. The black is presumably ground.<br /><br />The box states that the unit has is backlit for night time. The orange wire is only about 6" long, compared to several feet for the others. Could this be the feed in off the lighting circuit?<br /><br />Any idea about the blue wire?<br /><br />Oh, the transducer unit is a separate connection via what looks like a TV aerial connection, so none of the wires are presumably for the transducer. (?)<br /><br />Any help would be gratefully received!<br />Thanks<br />Tom
