I have an 87 120 looper that's almost back together. Well except for 4 little wires. The 2 coming out of the primer solenoid and 2 coming from the harness. I think the white primer solenoid wire screws onto the solenoid along with a kind of funny, rubbery wire??? Then I suppose the black wire from the solenoid just grounds out to the mounting screw/bracket of the solenoid? Then there's a green one that I haven't a clue on. All have round terminal ends. Any help most appreciated, Thanks .JT120TLCUR

According to my schematics the white wire that you refer to is probably purple and white and connects to the primer sol along with the tail on the solenoid. The black on the solenoid connects as you say. The green however comes from the stator and should be wired into the stator connector which goes to the power pack. Of course on such an old motor the wiring could have been modified

Thanks James. Yes I see a little purple on that wire and it makes sense it goes to the primer solenoid. The only terminal connection the green wire reaches is the one on the bottom of the starter, the hot lead from the starter solenoid. I cant see one on the black box, unless one of the 2 mounting bolts goes thru it into the block but that would just ground it.

So there's no other male connector matching the size of the ring connector on the green wire..except the bolt the "tilt/trim junction box" bolts to the block with. The wire wont reach anywhere but there and the starter. The green wire disappears into the wire harness with a black and white wire. So now I look at the trim motor and what do I see..a white, black and green wire, white and black actually going to the tilt motor and the green is grounded to the mount. Am I nuts? Would the green wire go from there only to be grounded at the Junction Box? Or am I looking at this all wrong
