When I started my Smokercraft deck boat with a 1997 150HP Mariner outboard this year, I found that my gauges did not work. They worked at the end of last season, before I stored it in my garage. Everything else seems to work (including the lights on the guages).I could not find a loose wire around the guages. I thought I might have a loose wire somewhere. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the guages of a 150 HP Mariner? Or has anyone had a similiar problem that they could point me in the right direction to solve this problem? Thanks.

Joel

Welcome to iboats.

If you have a surface mount remote control, look for a short set of wires with a black plug at the end. The gauges plug in there and it's awfully easy to bump it and pull the connection apart. There'll be two cables (throttle and shift), the main wiring harness cable to the motor, and the short one I mentioned for the gauges. All come out of the box in about the same place.
