Gentlemen, I again come for help. I've rebuilt my 350 mag and have come across a ProComp 6AL multiple spark ignition box. The motor is slightlybetter than stock. Has anyone used one of the ignitions with a stock distributor. ('92 mercruiser 350 mag, thundrbolt- stock coil). I have the pc-91 coil that I'm going to use. How would I hook it up to the distributor. Do I remove the stock thunderbolt module. Please help! the motor is at the engine builder now.

Re: Wiring questions?

IF it is a version of the MSD 6AL box, usually you can just use your current coil wires as your trigger. So you would take the 2 wires off of the coil, those would be hooked up to the trigger input wires of the 6AL. Then just fire the coil using the + and - wires for the coil coming out of the 6AL.

I doubt you will see much gain though, but you should have the ability to use the soft touch rev limiter function (if needed and if a MSD box).
