Nice piece!

Nothing like a good-ol 1911. Kimber makes great stuff too. Too bad I can't buy one in MA.:(

I have her instead..... :D

I miss the good ole days when you could pick a ruger 10/22 up for $69.00 that was the first gun I ever received and I still have it to this day, makes for a great grouse gun(I hate picking out shotgun pellets!)

won't find those anymore although I did get a bolt action .22 Marlin for my son used for under $100 a few years back.

first time we went to the indoor range with it in winter time he had a box of 500 bullets. as our hour came and went I happened to mention to the owner "I know we gotta get out of here" he looked at my son and says what are you kidding let him shoot. not enough kids wanting to do it now days. stayed for a couple hours that day and son goes quite often with me still. old guy still remembers him to.

.22's always seem to be the ones you remember the most.

Ah yes, at the tender age of 12 my grandfather gave me a single shot 22. The only instructions that came with it was not to shoot your brother! My mom was livid with grandpa but he said in the old country a boy of 12 would be out hunting after school to help feed the family and traditions should not be lost. We had a lot of fun with that old thing. Target shooting, shooting fish in the harbor up in the UP of Michigan, rabbits etc. Still have that old thing too.

Re: with all the gun talk

very nice piece. ok why can't you get Kimber in MA?

MA has some strange laws....... google the approved handgun list....... just amazing.

I am a 1911 fan/shooter...... I built one this past year ;)

My next weapon on my list will be another 45 acp either a glock or a sig.

I do like the Kimber. Does it have a bushing in the front or did you get a bull barrel?

Re: with all the gun talk

I've got a couple of 1911. I have a Springfield Loaded that is a 100% reliable tack driver. A couple of weeks ago, I bought a LNIB Colt. It was a bit over 20 years old. The owner bought it new, shot it a few times, cleaned it, and boxed it up.....While a 1911 is great, I'm more of a revolver guy and Colt is my brand. I've got 1 or 12.:D

Most of the CZ 1911's, well Dan Wesson, sure aren't cheap....I'm sure they are good guns. Their rifles certainly are getting a good rep.
