I don't have a flywheel cover for my engine. I want to do a lync & sync on the off season. However, since I don't have the cover I don't have the tick mark on which to align the timing decals on the flywheel.(V6 200HP 88)

What to do...

My friend has a 90HP 3 cylinder 01'. Can I somehow model his and make a makeshift tick mark for mine.

-andy

I had a similar problem with my inline 6. My cowl didn't have a timing decal, so I had to make a timing pointer. You could bend a thick peice of wire and point it at a specific spot on the flywheel. (.464BTDC on mine) I had to use a dial indicator to find .464, but you could do it at TDC without one. (though it wouldn't be as accurate)
