My better half was in the States for a couple of days, and came home yesterday.

As always I gave her my shopping list. I had asked her to bring me some Sea Foam, and we need new PFD's.

She called, and said she had bought both. Usually she calls first, and then buys, but she only had one day this trip.

Sea Foam, didn't ask for details. Thats a no brainer, I thought.

What kind of PFD's? Grey ones. It says “Coast Guard Typ III”. UH HU.

How much? $8.95! Oh Great! Can you bring them back? No, they were on sale. OK, we can always use them for your parents.

Yesterday ...

Well instead of Sea Foam, which they didn't have, they told her I meant marine grade silicon caulk. Which she bought. Hum? Oh well. There is a one inch spot I need to fix in the bathroom floor.

PFD's?

Here, are they OK?

OK! Top of the line, Stearns Neoprene V-FLex Ski Vest, with matching Rubber/Neoprene wet/dry river/boat shoes attatched, in the right sizes! :D

For $8.95! :D

They are normally $75, without the shoes!

Are you mad about the Sea Foam?

No baby, you did good! :D

Just a question but would have she been able to get the Sea Foam on the plane to take back home? But good deal on the life vests.

No, your right puddle jumper.

We talked about that last night when she asked me just what Sea Foam was. Had she bought the right stuff, they would have kept it at the gates. She said if I can't even take water, what in the world made you think I could bring you "Sea Foam"?

She just finished her latest "hazardous/dangerous goods" certification last week, and said, I should of all people know better than to ask her to bring that stuff on the plane. OOPS!

We need a trailer hitch too (not just the ball), and she and another woman (they all work for the airline) were trying to figure out how they could get it on the plane, even the pilot got involved. It weighed over 160 pounds! :D

Thank god they gave up on that idea, it was for American trucks. We have a Fiat. :D

And here are the flowers I bought you! :D

Yea, Roses are in order on this one, but that can be dangerous in itself! She'll just ask, what have you been up to?

She asked me once many years ago why I had never gotten married, and I said, I had always practiced, “catch and release” until she came along, and she was the first "keeper".

She wasn't sure she liked being compared to a “trophy fish”!

I assured her then, that wasn't what I meant!

You got to be careful what you say around women, even when you are being sweet, it sometimes comes out wrong.

That's because we speak Martian and they speak Venutian, and the translator doesn't always work well.;):D
