wondering if i made a bad buy

bought a mfg 15 ft gypsy boat with an 85hp johnson motor that does run on a load-rite trailer not sure of year of boat or motor and know zero about either but paid $475.00 for all good deal yes???

85 Johnson? Probably a 68 or newer. If the motor runs good and the boat floats and goes, then I would say you did alright on it. Just make sure it's pumping water real good and the gear case oil looks clean. No water intrusion. A compression test with all cylinders showing the same numbers would be ideal too.
