I have a 9.5 hp evinrude that will start, but only for a few seconds. I pull the plugs and the one in the bottom cyclinder is wet. It looks almost like water. What could the problem be?

it sounds like a fuel problem, there should not be water on your plugs though, how old is your fuel?? carb may need a good cleaning

start from the beginning, year, model number, have you checked compression and spark, when were the carbs last cleaned and rebuild, what was the last maintainance done. more info.

Water on plugs is usually fairly obvious if it is actually water. Cause could be a blown head gaslet or a problem with the exhaust covers on the side of the cylinder.
