Is there some kind of safety mode on a Mercury 115CT that prevents the motor to be trimmed up while running at close to full throttle? I was trying to trim the motor up while running at 4k rpm and noticed that it would only trim up a little than stop? During idle and no wake it trimmed up just fine

What year motor? Some motors have trim limit switches which are adjustable. Some have 3 cylinder PTT units. Two trim cylinders will trim motor a bit. The third cylinder is a tilt cylinder which is too weak, by design to tilt the motor under anything other than idle speed.

Hi. There is a warranty claim for this issue. It’s to do with the trim shuttle valves passing. They now have newer better valves that come on a kit with instructions. I got mine recently
