Wood into Composite?

Hi all.

I am a noob here and had a question about decking. Currently I have a carpeted deck and was wondering.....can I swap it out for a newer style textured composite type deck like alot of the newer boats come with?

My floor is fine but was thinking when it finally does need replaced if I could do this?

Has anyone here done such an upgrade? pics? ideas?

Might be cost prohibitive since the newer decks are molded with that texture....... not sure how you would mold in the design.

You could look into vinyl that has texture and apply that over your deck after the carpet is removed.
