that is one BIG fish! I've seen some 60-70 pounders come out of Lake Moultrie in South Carolina and those took two men to pull into the boat!

Thats freekin awesome! Who weighed it? First thing I would do is call the state fish and game agency, that would make it official. Not saying fish like that dont exist cause I know they do, but if that was me I would get as much people involved as I could just to make it to where knowone else had any doubt. Good catch, those blues are elusive but awesome fish!

That beats the 95 lb. blue cat my grandfather caught in the 1920's. This fish demolished the record.

Doesn't say if they put it back or at least alowed it to live, would seem like a real shame to take that big of a fish out of the gene pool.

My biggest is just under 20 but here in Indiana with the short growing season that isn't bad, I have had 2 that I think were bigger, maybe 25 but I was by myself and couldn't get them aboard to weight.

That is a very very large fish and I can't believe he got it in on 30 lb line.

I have heard that Bass Pro Shops has the fish, and are nursing it back to health, to display it live!! I have'nt confirmed this, but was told by a friend.

The fish is dead and frozen to be mounted later.

They're also going for the IGFA record so the fish has to be killed and the stomach contents examined.
