WOT on a 84 70hp evinrude

just got a new boat that came with a 84 evinrude it is a 70 hp tlcr and I am curious what the wot is so I can buy a new prop (any recommendations-i am looking at a 4 blade for hole shot and lower planning speed?) Thanks. j

Consider 5500 to 5800 as WOT, JFish, though some will recommend 6,000.<br /><br />A 4 blade prop will improve hole shot if it is the correct pitch, but it will lower top speed. It will not get you on plane at lower speed.<br /><br />To plane at lower speed try Smart Tabs. They will also get you on plane quicker and cost less than a 4 blade SS prop.
