WOT RPM 70 Johnson

What would the correct WOT RPM be for a 1994 70hp Johnson? It seems smoother at 5000 rpm. It will go up to 5500-5600 rpm.<br /><br />TIA<br />John

5600 with an average load is not bad. If thats with a light load you might want to check the set up and gain some. You may also pick up overall performance. We usually look for 5800 RPM with an average load.<br /><br />Good luck!
