Ok....

I guess I'll go first.:

It's an OMC. Just say no. There's PLENTY of boats out there with Volvo Penta and Mercruiser in the back for good prices. After about mid Sept, there'll be a lot more.

Avoid OMC.

Ayuh,..... Exactly....

OMC has been a Dead company for Over 10 years now,.......

Kinda like buying an Edsel,+ expecting to be able to buy Parts,+ find a Mechanic willing to work on it......

My '89 OMC Cobra has been no problem. I just did the bellows kit after 19 years of service thank you very much. That was only because the pickup hose had a pinhole. The only part I have run across that is unavailable is the trim cylinder caps. I've had two different parts shops state that expect some aftermarket company to produce these.
OMC units are easier to work on than Mercruiser, have fewer parts and as a result are cheaper to repair.
This would be a plus on the decision list for me.

So no one actually answers the posters original questions, just everyone gives their un asked for opinion of OMC?

WOT RPM's should be in the 4200-4600 range
Oil pressure will vary depending hot or cold and RPM but should be in the 30-60 range
Temp should be in the 160-170 range if it is raw water cooled (uses lake water) as opposed to having a heat exchanger with antifreeze.
Charging voltage should be around 13.5 or so when the RPM's are over 1000

ps..the gimbal could either be the gimbal bearing or the whole asm, ask the dealer which, probably the bearing. They do wear out especially if the drive bellows leaks and it gets wet.
