ATM I have a 14.25x17p 3 blade SS prop WOT i'm running 5k RPM, and max speed is around 43 MPH. I'm thinking I may need a 19p pop which bring my WOT down to around 4800 rpm which should be more correct, how much more speed do u think I'll get out of it? BTW: if I did this, I'm gonna get a 4 blade prop to regain my hole shot. I hate how i'm constantly adjusting the steering wheel coming through the harbor at low speed with the 3 blade.

I like mine a little under-propped, it gets on top faster and I don't let the rpms get that high, by myself it will turn 5,000 but loaded about 4,8000, and cruses good a 3,000, that's about 28mph in my boat.

There are others here that can be more specific but:
Typical rule of thumb is "about" 200 rpm per inch.So a 19 would put you at about 4,600.A 4 blade normally would lower the rpm aditionally a little more "about" 100 rpm.You might want to varify the tach is right before any changes.
You could consider a 4 blade in the same pitch. to bring you to about 4,900.
Its true a 4blade will improve hole shot and handling response but low speed wander also requires close attention to the boat response; being careful to not over correct and too anticipate the required correction.

That reminds me, my last trip had 3 guys only and I was WOT at 5000 but when I had 4 my WOT was less as I remember it.

During the repowering the tach was replaced, so I'm pretty sure the tach reading is correct. I cruise around 25mph @ 3300 ish if I remember correctly. I'm going to take note tomorrow when I get out there to see what happens.
