Wow...leaf shackle was broken!

1994 MTI trailer for my 19' bow rider. We stopped for ice cream and naturally I poked around looking for anything amiss. WD40 in hand ready to quiet squeaks, and there it is...both rear shackles are completely cracked off from the trailer! Apparently it had been like that for some time as rust was built-up between the cracks. <br /><br />We spent the next couple hours looking for anyone to weld it back on to the trailer, and fortunately a guy at a truck stop stayed an hour late for us. Whew.

WHAT ARE YA TALKING BOUT CHRIS THE STRAP THAT GETS U BOLTED TO THE TRAILER. ???? i F U ARE I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND WELDED IT AND PUT AN EXTRA U BOLT BEHIND THE WELD. BUT UNLIKE YOU I DIDNT FIND MY PROBLEM TILL AFTER IT ATE A TIRE UP<br />HAD TO LEAVE THE BOAT IN THE WATER TILL IT WAS REPAIRED. MUST BE A COMMON PROBLEM
