This one that happen last weekend in my neck of the woods can surely be counted as a SHT: a 17 footer was trying to pass along a 38 footer just before a bridge. When he cross the wave, he's been pushed sideway and hit a pillar. Due to the fact that the beam enter like 6 feet into the bow, i"m pretty sure he goes at least over 60mph...

Three passengers and the driver. All in the early twenties. Surprisingly, none of them were ejected but the're all injured and 2 of them were still near death.

I wouldn't be suprised if it show up on CL one of theses days saying that it "only need some minor glass repairs" ;)

i saw the show where they tried to replicate it and couldnt... but this shows it really can be done!


btw saumon, i live not too far from you... just over the border in chateaugay NY... work for the radio station 94.7 HITS FM... dont know if you listen to it or not...

next summer my wife and i are thinking about making the trip up the seaway from ft covington, ny

I cross a few times each spring at Rouses Point to fish Lake Champlain for landlocked salmon. I launch at South Hero next to the bridge or at Keeler Bay.
