My motor is a 1988 Force 85HP.I just recieved my new Michigan Match 031042 prop today and immediately went to install it. It doesn't fit. The motor side of the prop flair is a 1/8 inch bigger on the new prop. It won't slip into place in the motor. The number on the prop matches what I ordered so it is the right prop.

Re: Wrong hub size on new prop

You might pose thir question in the Chrysler/Force section. You may get more Chrysler/Force guys that may know if there is a gear
case/prop size issue.Just tell them I sent you.
Did a little research some 85s use a through hub exhaust prop and others a non through hub.
The years appear to overlap.Don't know if it has any bearing on your prop problem.
The through hub prop is obvious as it has a large barrel shaped hub that you can look through.
If I remember right you can fit a through hub on a non through hub motor, through I don't know what is required.

The old prop is a through hub exhaust and so is the new one but I am confused as to weather the motor is a duel exhaust or not.
