Boy did i find a surprise today.Found out my motor[88 spl] is a 1988 or older and not a 95.It appears that either someone put a different powerhead on it or added power trim.The way i discovered it was,i had just ordered a new stator and was looking at it.1995 only has 1 powerpack and mine has 2.The stator i ordered only has 1 set of brown wire and yellow,but the 1 on the motor has 2 sets of brown and a yellow.It also requires a different rectifier than the watercooled 1,anyone know if this would cause my motor not to charge,having the wrong rectifier?
