I was just going through my motor 1989 120 j120tlcem.

I noticed that there are no orange and orange black wires coming from the stator. They are not there, not cut off, but not there. So no quickstart  but What stator is it and is it ok to run it? I geuss it is a few years older.

Does the quickstart work real good? Should I get the right stator?

Thanks in advance!

I think your year didnt bring quickstart. I think it came out on the 93 and on modles.

My powerpack has the quckstart wires and the temp sender has the white and black. The manual also references quickstart tests.

Does your stator have 2 or 3 sets of wires? The BRP website shows 3 sets.

There should be a part number imprinted on that stator. What is it?

The proper stator would contain the number 583410.

Joe, I have to pull the flywheel to check the number. I will post tomorrow.

Would the wrong stator do anything other than delete the quickstart?
