Im thinking about buying a used xpress 1650 db with the hyper lift hull, just wanting to know if its a all around good hull design?Im going to put a 30hp engine on it and was wandering if that hull design would perform well?

Xpress makes an excellent boat. If I had my way, I would have an X-19 with 200 Etec in my driveway.

What is that boat rated for? I would probably want a little more than 30 horse on a 1650.

Its rated for a 40hp but here in my state we have local water sheds that restrict us to 30 max.I went ahead and bought it and tried it out it run 27.5 gps solo and the same with two adults in it,two many rpm's (nissan 30hp 2 stroke)(11 pitch stainless).I guess im going to play around with some props?By the way nice rebuild!
