Re: Yahoo chat site

Welcome to my world Flashback. I run windows XP with the latest version of microsoft IE and I have jumped through more hoops than you could imagine trying to get on that chat.I get the same message you are getting every time I try. I have downloaded about a trazillion updates to no avail. literally hours worth of updates and packages.I updated VM and it did not do squat. I went over my computer settings time and time again. Spinner and the gang made alot of good suggestions but nothing worked. Ladyfish is running netscape I think she said, and had a bit of trouble but was able to update and fix hers up. I was beginning to feel pretty stupid so I just gave up for now. If you figure out how to fix it post it for me.

Re: Yahoo chat site

I have XP too, and the problem is that you need the VM to HEAR the chat, not just be able to type to it ... and apparently everyone is talking, and I am really pisssed off, I could buy one HELL Of an outboard for what this damn lappie ran me ... and it doesnt do very much for an all the latest gizmos bells and whistles deluxe puter ...

I too have gone thru hell on NETSCAPE, IE 6 and MSN. .. ALL to no avail

Why do they use VM if they KNOW momst of the new puters out there are XP

and why, if XP is so user friendly, is it so damned hard to know if you HAVENT successfully downloaded VM?

Ill be watching this one closely, lol
