New here and first post. I hope someone can help me out on here to give me a general direction and what to look for with my problem.
I have a 98 2-stroke Yamy 115 and the boat is a Bombard Explorer 600 Rib with center console. It's equiped with the multi function digital speedo & tach & the speedo works great but the tack is another story since the rpm fluctuates from zero to 8k as well as the trim reading. Everything was working fine all these years till I put it in storage for the winter last fall. I'm wondering if the connections on the rear of the gauge are faulty or a bad ground? I'm planning on doing some prop testing but can't with the tach. Oh, forgot to mention I run in fresh water.
I'm re-rigging the interior and will have the gauges out so would be the best time to troubleshoot.
