Yamaha 130 RPM Loss

I have a 2001 130 hp 2 stroke Yamaha. The last two times out it will run fine for the first few minutes at WOT and then drop back to 4000 rpms and never turn any faster. The plugs look fine. Any ideas on what the power loss might be from?

hello<br /> could be most anything, from a bad fuel pump, bad or dirty filters to clogged carbs to ign problems.<br /> the 130 ign system is mostly bullet proof. rarely fails. I would look at fuel. do you have a vacume gauge ?

I had that problem and replaced the fuel/water seperator and it cleared right up.
