Any advice for a problem with my 2001 Yamaha 150? When I go up to 29 rpm and above the overheat alarm goes off. I've tried cleaning out the popper valve but that didn't work. Any suggestions?

You may want to start with thermostats. One on each side. I go by the tourque specs when tightenting the cover bolts.

The pressure relief valve has been redesigned by Yamaha. Do you have one of those? It probably is not causing your overheat, but it's a cheap part.
