Hello,<br />y '78 Yamaha 15A somtimes won't rev up in gear. Starts and idles well and always revs up in neutral.<br />Problem is intermittent and sometimes when running at more than half throttle performance suddenly drops. <br />Have checked tank ventilation/fuel filter/fuel pump and cleaned carb to rule out fuel starvation. Pressing primer when problem occurs doesn't help either. Compression and spark o.k. on both cylinders. <br />Any ideas?<br /><br />Now, with engine at home, I realized that stator plate moves loosely forth and back due to slack wires. Could this explain the problem?<br /><br />Thanks!
