I have a yamaha 4 stroke 15hp engine that stalls at idle speeds. Runs perfectly at higher speeds but quits as soon as you decelerate to trolling speed. Used new stabalizer for ethanol seemed to help a bit but still having an issue. Any advice is appreciated...Thanks!!

Sounds like a plugged jet in carburetor. Clean carb, check and clean fuel filter, install fuel/water seperator to help prevent future problems with fuel/water/ethanol. Good Luck!

Thanks! Can I mix carb cleaner treatment in with the gas?

I run Stabil Marine and Ringfree all the time for best results. You may have to disassemble and clean that carb since the jets/passages are so small. That fuel/water seperator at Walmart($27) is worth it's weight in gold for small carburetors. I just unscrew the canister and dump it into a clean container to see what's in it, then just screw it back on, but I do carry a spare in the boat. Also you need to drain your carb once or twice a year and especially at the end of boating season. Good Luck!
