Yamaha 15hp lower unit problem

I have a 2000 yamaha 15hp outboard. The other day, I was fishing and hit a stump. Motor running but prop and shaft won't turn. I am praying it isn't the gears. I am thinking i will drop the lower unit this week end. Please help with ideas and suggestions.

You may have a spun prop.<br /><br />Do a search here for 'spun prop' - returns 300+ hits.<br /><br />If the ckeck shows no spun - it will have to be something in the drive line (shaft, gear etc.)
