yamaha 20 a two red wires dumb question?

It maybe a dumb question but coming out from under the flywheel are two red wires going no-where, what are they for?

Sometimes there is only one stator/charger part and it is used for both electric start with a charging system, and for manual start without a rectifier, battery starter, etc. So you get extra wires in a manual start motor.
