Yamaha 2001 115 4 stroke rectifier connector

I have recently had problems with overcharging and my marine mechanic is replacing the rectifier. When they went to replace it they noticed that the connector is melted. Upon contacting Yamaha about this they were told that they need to replace the entire wiring assembly for $250+. My mechanic is attempting to work through yamaha to determine where they can obtain just the connector for this rectifier.

Does anyone have any knowledge or experience in this problem and can you help us locate where we can find this connector?
