Can anyone give me some good advice on this problem? I have a 2001 Yamaha 150HP and the Tilt cylinder is leaking. My Tilt/Trim unit has 3 shafts, I believe the two outer shafts are for the Trim function and the center shaft is for Tilt function. Oil is leaking around the center shaft! I did recently replace the fluid (Tilt/Trim fluid they sell at Walmart). Did I use too much fluid or the wrong type, I'm not sure. We were on vacation and I was in a pinch. I raised the engine about half way, connected the fluid bottle to the fluid inlet and raised the engine all the way to the top - the fluid was sucked from the tube into the reservoir. Any ideas as to what my problem is would be much appreciated.

Thanks

TROUTMAN,
I HAVE A 2001 DF90 THAT HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND IT WAS ON A RECALL. APPARENTLY SUZUKI USED PLASTIC INSTEAD OF METAL (OR VICE-VERSA) AND THE CYLINDERS HAD TO BE REPLACED. YOU MAY WANT TO CHECK WITH SUZUKI AS IT MAY APPLY TO THE 150 AS WELL.
GOOD LUCK
