Yamaha 2001 40hp 4-stroke bogging down

I am having problems throttling up on a 2001 40hp 4-Stroke Yamaha. Need to gently play with the throttle to get the engine to ramp up to full RPM. Added water seperator, new gas tank and fuel hoses. Cleaned fuel injectors a few times. Any other suggestions????

Have throttle cables recently been repaced? Has the throttle linkage been worked on? I had to make cable adjustments to get my 94 2 stroke 70 hp just right. Does the engine run rough or anything?

i am having the same problem with my 2003 15 hp Yamaha four stroke. Can't figure it out? Wondering if oyu have fixed your problem.
