I am experiencing intermittent and sudden total electrical failure on Yamaha 225 4-stroke on a Grady White 228 Seafarer. The engine quits, all electronics go out, switching batteries (via battery selection switch) doesn't regain electrical power. The failure occurs at random rpm, and self recovers after a few minutes. Battery voltage checks good with a voltmeter, all connections seem secure and tight. No corrosion is evident from visual inspection of battery harness and all electrical connections. The boat is operated 100% on the chesapeak bay. The motor under the cowl looks brand new (it's 4 yrs old)

Any thoughts on possible causes / remedies would be appreciated.

thank you,
Dane

My Grady has a master circuit breaker located starboard on the transom try checking that. Good Luck.
