I have a yamaha 25 on a weld craft 1542 mod vee with a plywood/epoxy floor. the motor has a solas ss 10 3/4 X 10 pitch on it and it runs 25mph with 2 people. It gets out of the hole really well. I would like to get more speed out of it. could any of you guys recommend a prop that i can switch to brand, pitch, and diameter

You need to check to see what WOT RPM you are getting with the prop and load you are running now before trying to change things up

Is your speed by gps? It would be best to get your lightly loaded wot rpm and gps speed. An induction tach like a Tinytach will get your rpm.

Is this a 2 stroke? I couldn't find much info except I think(?) the gear ratio is 1.85 and wot rpm 6,000.
You may have to help us with specs.

Any time you go up in pitch you will lose some low hole shot performance and only gain about 2 MPH for every 1" increase of pitch. Your best bet is to do some reading about this on some of the prop web sites. This would give you a better idea as to just what needs to be done and what to expect for performance of a different prop. You will find a lot of info at the top of this page under prop selection.
