hi all. i have a 2001 model 25n and its hard to start from cold(about 8 pulls of the cord)but once hot starts first go. the motor runs rough at idle and blows a bit of smoke when you rev it after is idled for about 2 mins. changed the plugs, checked the timing and turned the carbs as per manual.the motor has about 35hours on it and its been like it from the start. is this normal or is there a problem i can not find.
cheers tim

check your choke is working correctly. try turning the idle jet another half a turn out also.
every motor starts differently find what makes your start the easiest and stick too it.

Hello
1ST off do you have a primer bulb on the fuel line an do you prime it. IF you can keep primeing it there something wrong in the float bowl of the carb an as you keep priming its flooding the motor
