Hello all
I have recently brought a yamaha 2b 6A1 outboard motor (2hp). It starts ok (first pull once warm) and runs for about 10mins then cuts out and dies. Following advice from here on general outboard servicing i brought the service manual then changed the fuel and spark plug, cleaned the carburetor, adjusted the idle speed, replaced the lower unit gear oil, cleaned out the water passage and changed the impeller. But it still cuts out. I have also noticed that there seems to be no water (not even a drible) comming from the water outlet / exhust holes on the upper part of the leg. Could it be cutting out due to over heating? also does it matter which way round the spoke bits of the impeller fold?
Any comments and all help appreciated
