yamaha 300 hdpi?????????

Hello Everyone, I am looking at a 2005 Yamaha 300 HDPI, it has less than 175 hours on a factory rebuild block. I am wondering if I should be nervous because of reviews from the past. any help would be great. I have a 23 Dusky with a 225 ox66 would like better fuel economy and definately need more power. any recomendations would be very helpfull

You'll get a better answer if you post this in the Yamaha forum rather than the Johnson forum. A mod may be along to move it.
