Hi

Im new to this site and it looks really helpful, I have a problem with my
4 stroke engine. when it idles it looks like it doesn't spark properly.
and it runs rough when in drive mode.

Ive checked the fuel and the coils. Seems to spark good.

I took it to the shop and they said it needs to be hooked up to a computer.
Can i buy the cable, So i can see what the computer is saying.

What is the best way to check the computer.

Any Suggestions

Thanks

Lyle

no limp mode.
the YDS(laptop) will see if any active codes are set, or not.
the laptop is a quick way to check all that the engine computer monitors.
if no codes are displayed, guess what.
suck, squeeze bang and blow.
doesnt matter if it has a fuel dribbler on a heated plate,a carb or EFI.
test spark, test compression, fix fuel.
that being said the F115 is one of the few yamaha engines I have seen with more than 3 ECU failures since introduced.
