yamaha 4 stroke grease question

Just greased my f225 for the first time. My dealer did it last year. Anyway, when I got to the fitting by the prop, it took only a pump and a half of grease. It started to get kind of hard to pump so I stop there. Is this normal? Should it take more? I don't want to blow out any seals. Thanx in advance for any replies.

Re: yamaha 4 stroke grease question

I don't think the grease down there is for lubrication purposes. Just an anti-corrosion feature to keep the hub from corroding to the housing.
