Yamaha 40 no power

I recently purchased a 1986 Yamaha 40 ETLJ and have a service manuel on order. I took the boat out and it ran fine until I got ready to leave the lake and there was no electrical power including trim and tilt. I checked all of the obvious things, like battery and connections, and even bypassed the key switch. I also cannot find any kind of main fuse. Any suggestions?

There is an inline fuse. Look near where the postive lead from the battery attaches to the powerhead. Be sure all of your connections are tight.
