Yamaha 40 replacement prop

I have a '06 Yamaha 40hp 4-stroke. The prop is a bit dinged up and I want to replace it. However, I cannot find the prop size and pitch on the propeller in the location indicated in the Yamaha manual. The prop appears to be the stock one that comes with the engine (painted white).

The performance of the boat is fine with this prop so I want to replace it with the same size. Anyone know what size this prop is or where I should look?

I cannot find any identification on my factory Yamaha prop either. Found somewhere that I might have to take the prop off as the numbers might be covered by the thrust washer?? Just a suggestion. Keep us posted as I curious also.

From what I understand the prop needs to come off to see them and you can go to this web site to look up a set up like yours and see what prop they ran on it during the tests.
