2001 50hp high thrust four stroke. Inside the engine cover next to the 10 pin main connector there are 2 more connectors. One is a four pin female connector with a pink, black, gray wire feeding it.. The other is a 4 pin female connector with 2 yellow wires one with a red stripe and one with a black stripe. The other 2 wires look white or maybe pink. Its shown in the seloc book but it dosnt tell what its for. Anybody know??

the first plug is a dash feed plug, grey being tach feed. you sure the second plug wires are yellow and not green? those 2 plugs typically run straight to the back of the digital tach for various readouts.

Thanks for the reply! Yes, Im sure about the connector with the 2 yellow wires and 2 white ones. So, if I just use the main harness and key switch assy it should work ok? The switch assy has a connector with a bunch of pigtails that I think are for the gauges. Does that sound right?

pink/white is alarm, gray is overheat visual, black is ground pink is trim send, your tach feed is green and comes from the pigtail on the 703 box or keyswitch on the 704.
shoot me a model number and ill try to look a bit further.
I take it your not running any gauges?
