Yamaha 70 hp cutting out while trolling

The motor is cutting out while trolling. The squeeze bulb is 1/2 full at best when the motor begins to cut out. If I give the bulb a couple of squeezes it comes back and runs for a period of time (2-10+ min) with no issues.

Lowest trolling speed is 3.4 mph at the lowest, and I would think I should be able to get down to 2 or 2.1 mph.

Any advice or ideas would be appreciated.

sounds like your fuel pump needs to be rebuilt.

It would be helpful if you posted the year and model of your outboard and if you are using an external fuel tank.
