One of my friends has a Yamaha 9.9 Four Stroke. He is wanting to take a carburator from a 15 or bigger motor and put it on the 9.9 . Does anyone know if this is possible?
Most of the yamaha 9.9 and 15hp 4 strokes are NOT sister engines. There were only a few years where they share the same block. If its an older one with a 232cc block then 9.9hp is all she has and not enough displacement to really build much more power.
